MARK ROSS, PharmD
President
Mark is a pharmacist and native of Huntington, West Virginia with over 25 years of pharmacy experience. As a Mercer University Doctor of Pharmacy graduate, he began his career in the retail sector. After 10 years in retail, he opened his first independent pharmacy.
Since then, Mark has owned and operated more than 7 independent pharmacies. Mark specializes in drug procurement, cost containment, PharmD quality of AssuredCare, and company direction.
Mark lives in the Huntington area and spends most of his free time with his three kids, Marleigh, Billy and Maddie. He also enjoys traveling, golf, and chess.
NATHAN BARNES, CPhT, MBA
Executive Director
Nathan Barnes is an Executive Director with 14 years of experience working alongside community leaders in long-term care. Nathan specializes in building winning teams, positive workplace cultures and is responsible for achieving strategic and operating objectives for the pharmacy.
Bringing his enthusiasm to these processes encourages the AssuredCare team to provide excellent, compassionate service to its long-term care facility partnerships.
Nathan lives in Barboursville. He is inspired daily by his wife (Jessica) and their two children (Adrian and Avery). In his free time, Nathan likes to travel with family, play music, and follow his favorite sports teams.
Zach Miles, CPA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
A lifelong West Virginian, Zach was born and raised in St. Albans. Zach is a servant leader who focuses on improving business operations, developing market strategies for business growth, and corporate leadership. Prior to AssuredCare, Zach worked in public accounting and as a CFO for another successful West Virginia company.
Zach serves on the Advisory Board for WVJC-Charleston. Zach is a member of the WV Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Board of Accountancy. Zach received his MBA and BBA from Marshall University.
Zach currently resides in the Charleston area. He enjoys spending time with his wife (Michelle) and their 3 kids (Gracie, Kate, & Jax). Zach also enjoys golfing, reading, and watching his favorite sports teams.
Jillian Brown, PharmD
Pharmacist-In-Charge
Jillian Brown is the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) at AssuredCare. As a proud native of Barboursville, WV, Jillian has a passion for providing the best patient care to her hometown and beyond.
Jillian got her start in pharmacy as a technician in a fast-paced retail environment where she gained 10 years of pharmacy experience. She attended Marshall University School of Pharmacy, where she graduated with her Pharm. D. in 2018 and began her career as a pharmacist in the retail sector. As PIC at AssuredCare, Jillian strives to provide optimal care for her patients, maintain strong collaborative relationships with facilities, as well as cultivate a family-centric work environment for her team.
Jillian enjoys spending time with her husband (Tyler), son (Cooper), and their 2 dogs (Nina and Belle). Her time outside of the pharmacy consists of reading, listening to murder mystery podcasts, and entertaining her friends and family.
Howie Mullins, RN, BSN
Director of Nursing Operations
Howie Mullins, a West Virginia native, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bluefield State University (Bluefield, WV). With over 17 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 15 years of management experience, Howie has served as the Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer of 2 Surgery Centers, Health Services Supervisor with a Title 19 Waiver Program, and Director of Nursing of a residential inpatient rehabilitation facility.
Howie specializes in business and clinical program development, cross-functional team collaboration, relationship cultivation and management, and customer service improvement. Howie focuses on bridging the gap between the pharmacy and long-term care facility partners to ensure the highest quality of care can be provided to patients.
Howie lives in Point Pleasant. He enjoys spending time with his wife (Amy) and daughter (Rileigh). Howie also enjoys golfing, camping, jet-skiing, bowling, and playing ping pong.
